Marc Joseph
Marc Joseph is Of Counsel to Adams Broadwell Joseph & Cardozo, after practicing full time for 30 years including serving as its President for 20 years. He now represents clients on California energy, public utility and climate law and policy, with a focus on state legislation and the California Public Utilities Commission.
Marc has been a substantial contributor to California’s groundbreaking renewable portfolio standard laws (SBx-2, SB 350, SB 100) including creating the portfolio content category system and long-term contracting requirements that define the obligations of utilities and other load-serving entities. He has also been involved in most other significant California energy legislation since AB 1890 in 1996.
Marc has also represented California construction unions in California Environmental Quality Act and Energy Commission proceedings. He has negotiated more than 200 project labor agreements for energy and other industrial projects.

Marc began his legal career as a law clerk to the late Honorable William B. Bryant of the United States District Court for the District of Columbia.
