Adams Broadwell Joseph & Cardozo regularly participates in legislative and administrative rulemaking proceedings at the state and local governmental level in subjects related to the firm’s practice areas, including proceedings involving climate change and renewable energy, utility policy and regulation, building efficiency and materials standards and other land use and environmental legislation and regulation. The firm’s attorneys have played a leading role in drafting amendments to CEQA and regularly participate in legislative and regulatory proceedings related to the CEQA statute and guidelines. In addition to drafting legislative and regulatory proposals, ABJC attorneys provide legal and technical testimony in legislative and rulemaking proceedings and act as advisors and consultants to the sponsors of legislative proposals. Several of the firm’s attorneys are registered lobbyists.
